Mandatory Rules

Program Requirements

1. Personal items and belongings accompanying the Resident into any New Creation, Inc. property may be examined and approved by the Executive Director.

2. All incoming Residents will be subject to the Structure Policy for a minimum of 30 days.

3. As outlined in the Structure Policy, a Resident whose structure has been lifted, will be expected to attend 3 recovery meetings per week with at least 1 recovery meeting or class on the New Creation Schedule. No more zoom meetings. In person attendance is required.

4. No cell phone use during program activities

5. Mandatory 10:00 PM curfew, all residents must be indoors before the 10:00 PM curfew.  Smoking allowed after 10:00PM.

6. Periodic searches can and will be done.

7. No drugs or alcohol may be consumed, at all, while in the New Creation, Inc. Program.

8. Use of Cigarettes, Vape or E-Cigarettes, Cigars, and Chewing Tobacco is allowed only in designated smoking area East of 549 townhouse and behind Sunshine A and B.   All butts must be extinguished in the provided tins. Do not put paper or any other trash in butt cans. Violation of the smoking policy may result in being exited from the program.

9. NO weapons of any type are allowed in or on any New Creation, Inc. property.

10. Visitations will be scheduled and on Sundays between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

11. Shared living expenses are $640.00 per month on the first of the month or $160 per week to be paid on the day you move in, then the same day of the week that you moved in.

12. Offsite overnight stays must be approved 24 hours in advance, and by the Executive Director, via text.  Once approval has been given, inform your house leader. Do house chore before leaving. Prepay $15.00 for UA prior to overnight visit.

13. Noncompliance with any of the Mandatory Obligations or Expectations, agreed to herein, will disqualify residents from offsite overnight stays.

14. Prior to taking an approved overnight stay, each resident must prepay a $15 fee to the Executive Director for a Urine Analysis Test subsequent to return. Text director when you return and she will schedule your UA.

15. Residents must dress appropriately at all times.  If clothing is unacceptable, resident will be asked to change clothing. No bare chests acceptable.

16. NO earbuds, sunglasses, or hoodies are to be worn in the common areas in houses or attending any New Creation  activity or outside function.

17. Violation, or non-compliance, of these Mandatory Obligations and Expectations will result in minimally a verbal warning, or if necessary, a written warning of violation.

18. Three (3) written warning violations, and a resident will be discharged from the program.

19. If a resident vacates New Creation property, the resident must collect all personal items within seven (7) days. After seven (7) days, all of the resident's property, not collected, will be donated by the Executive Director. No mail will be kept subsequent to a resident moving and will be returned to sender.  All mail for residents who have moved are to be brought to table in garage at 544 by the house leader.

Employment and Other Expectations

20. Residents are expected to be ready for their day no later than 8:30 AM Monday through Friday.

21. All Residents must be employed, out looking for employment, in school or volunteering, during the day shift, Monday through Friday from at least 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

22. Residents must leave premises for work by 9:00 AM and return no earlier than 3:00 PM, unless otherwise pre-arranged and approved by the Executive Director.

23. Each resident must provide for their own transportation.

Personal & Communal Respect

24. All bicycles are to be kept in the back yard of 544. There is a gate West of the house.

25. Gossip, slander and division will not be tolerated.

26. Vulgar language will not be tolerated.

27. Physical or verbal abuse will not be tolerated and can be considered grounds for immediate eviction.

28. Verbal or physical abuse of facility pets is not tolerated.

29. Do not feed New Creation, Inc. pets and communicate any concerns or observations about the pets to the Executive Director.

30. No other pets allowed at New Creation, Inc.

31. In the case of excessive behavior, as described above, authorities may be contacted.

Household Tasks & Responsibilities

32. All residents are expected to participate in assigned chores including, but not limited to cleaning, straightening, meal prep, cleanup after meals, gardening, lawn care and snow removal.

33. Residents are expected to MAINTAIN CLEANLINESS and ensure that no personal items, dishes, cups, glasses, bottles, food containers or cans are left in common area. Leave rooms as you found them. Hanging anything on the walls, moving, adding, or removing furnishings prohibited.

34. No food, candy or drink is allowed in bedrooms, under any circumstances, NO containers.

35. Laundry hours begin at 7:00 AM and the last load of laundry must be started no later than 9:00 PM.

36. Clean dryer filter after every use.

37. Do NOT wash or dry any shoes in New Creation, Inc. machines.

Personal Needs, Items & Belongings

38. No borrowing or trading of food stamps. It is illegal.

39. Do not borrow anything including money and food without permission (that is stealing).

40. Do not borrow or ask for anything from residents.
